Savannah’s Late Winter Senior Shoot {Roaring River Park}

When Savannah’s mom messaged me saying she wanted to book her daughter’s senior session, I was so excited! Savannah is one of those girls with a graceful natural beauty. She also has the sweetest spirit, which shines through and makes her naturally attractive features even more stunning. I am realizing more and more through photography that the inner person really shines out. “The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.” I have been so blessed as a photographer to be able to photograph so many beautiful people of the inner beauty. That kind just grows more and more vibrant, the longer a person practices patience, kindness, and joy.

I was so excited when she said she wanted to get some pictures with her sweet pup. Animals are always welcome at my sessions! When we started, Savannah was a little nervous in front of the camera. Almost everyone is at first! But I had her do some simple and flattering poses and it soon became clear that she was a natural! We had fun walking all over Roaring River Park in Scio. We started in the early evening and were blessed by a beautiful clear sky and golden sun. Those are the kind of things you expect and love about summer, but it was such a treat to get it in February! When we thought we were finished, we were driving back and noticed a little grove of trees with the sun streaming through them. It looked incredible, so we had to make a U-turn and spend a few more minutes there. Boy, did it pay off! Scroll to the bottom of this post to see those last golden hour shots.

Savannah, keep focusing on what is important and growing in grace and beauty. You have your whole life ahead of you and have the potential to touch so many people with your sweet spirit. I’m so glad I had the privilege of capturing your senior photos for you! <3
