Vibrant Wedding at The Water Oasis, Newberg, OR {Katie + Tyler}

Katie and Tyler contacted me not long before their wedding in desperate need of a photographer, since the one they had planned on didn’t end up working out. Even over the phone, they seemed like such a great fit. They were joyful, flexible, and trusted me to do a good job. We met over coffee and it was confirmed. I loved them!

The day of their wedding dawned bright and beautiful. The Water Oasis took my breath away! Their colors were gold, emerald green, and royal blue. It was stunning! The bright, vivid colors paired perfectly with the striking beauty of the venue and their own bright and joyful personalities.

A wonderful team of vendors all worked together to make their day a success. The florals were arranged by Melissa at Trapp Designs. I loved how the colors coordinated and the flowers draped gracefully. Their wedding cake was made by Custom Cakes NW. Renae did a beautiful job with theirs and I’m sure it tasted as good as it looked! Desiree from La Muse Beauty Salon did a lovely job with all the ladies hair! Katie looked just like a princess and her bridesmaids had beautifully intricate hairstyles as well. Tiffany Randolph is such a talented make up artist and created beautiful looks that highlighted the girl’s natural beauty. Katie got her dress from David’s Bridal and the gentlemen got their suits from Men’s Warehouse.

Katie and Tyler had their first look right before the ceremony and it was so sweet to see Tyler’s expression when he turned around to see his gorgeous bride for the first time. Their love story is a fun one, because at first, Katie had no interest in Tyler! But he didn’t get discouraged, and through his thoughtful and kind ways, he soon won over her heart.

One of the most special touches of the day was learning about Katie’s veil. It was handmade by her great great great great great grandmother in Germany! That was five greats!! I can’t imagine making something so beautiful and delicate. What a special symbol to crown her as she was married.

Another highlight was their first dance! It wasn’t the typical sway back and forth type of dance. They are both talented dancers and showed it when they started slow, but soon moved into graceful footwork, twirls, and dips. It was so fun to watch!

Katie and Tyler, I am so honored that I was able to be a part of your wedding day. Thank you for trusting me to capture all the priceless details. I pray you are blessed in your marriage. I know you already have and will continue to be a blessing to others by the way you live your lives. <3
