I had never been to Peavy Arboretum in Corvallis, OR before, so I arrived a little early to scout out the place. Boy, was I impressed! With plenty of soft, shaded paths to explore, an old barn, and open meadows, I was in a photographers paradise!

The Rhoads family did not disappoint either! With coordinating outfits and joyful smiles, they made a beautiful sight.  Jeff works in the timber industry so he was able to explain to me that all the strange poles sticking out of the ground were for testing different weather protection coatings. 🙂 I’m always looking to learn something new!

We traipsed and laughed our way through the grounds and got LOTS of great pictures in the process. At one point, we saw some sunlight filtering through the mist in the middle of the path and I immediately coached the Rhoads into some fun poses in the middle of that gorgeous light. <3

At the end of our 45 minute session, we had plenty of amazing pictures and a new friendship was forged. I am so glad I got to know Jeff, Dawn, Kinsley, and Memphis. My day was sweeter because of it.
